We removed the original 350z stereo and replaced it to be able to connect electronics thru bluetooth. Stereo Install in 2005 350Z Word to the wise. If you are going to install an aftermarket stereo into the 2005 350 Z and keep the Bose factory amp and speakers, you need to buy the PAC ROEM-NIS2.
I have a 2008 Grand Touring with the Bose sound system and no nav and I am in the process of replacing my stock Bose heads up unit with a Sony MEX-XB100BT. The sony deck can draw up to 15 A current, so it's suggested to connect it directly to the car battery in order to avoid blowing the 10 A radio fuse that I understand is in the car.
I've tried searching for any walk throughs or advice on how to actually install the wiring to connect any deck directly to the battery, however I haven't found anything helpful. I was hoping someone on /r/350z might be able to link me some instruction on how to do this, or even just advise on anyhing I should watch out for/make sure I do during installation?
