The Patent Pending Dragon is a Muzzle Brake & Compensator designed for 556X45mm / .223 Caliber AR15 style rifles with 1/2-28 UNEF Right Hand threaded muzzles.
LANTAC Brakes are CNC machined from the highest quality Military Grade Steel, hardened and then finished using a Tufride QPQ Liquid Nitride process.
This creates an extremely tough, high case hardness with the added benefit of increased corrosion resistance.
The Dragon brake offers improved compensation over other designs and features a primary discharge chamber with angled, vertical porting to harness gas energy and use it to combat muzzle rise, or flip.
Three further open chambers offer a huge surface area for gas to impinge against, thus reducing recoil. The crown patterns gas as it exits the device.
SHORT ENERGY PULSE 'S.E.P'
In muzzle brakes with longer energy pulses recoil has more of a cumulative effect. The shooter is still managing the energy load from the first shot when the second occurs, as subsequent shots or pulses of energy are delivered they are constantly working to regain position but slowly being pushed further back. While it is possible for an experienced shot to control this situation to a degree, it is by no means ideal.
With LANTAC SEP Technology the energy pulse is shortened and it is made possible for the shooter to regain their original position much quicker, subsequent pulses of energy do not overlap as much and therefore muzzle 'recoil' over single and multiple shots is greatly reduced. Sustained full auto fire is possible with much-improved muzzle control meaning that all shots fall on target.

BEST ANSWER:The Lantac Dragon DGN556B is a 5.56mm and/or .223 Remington muzzle brake. When choosing muzzle brakes for your weapon's barrels, always make sure you are selecting the proper size aperture/opening for your calibre weapon, AND make sure your threaded barrel's thread pattern matches the threads on the brake, in the case of MOST 9mm barrels, and many .223/5.56 barrels, the 1/2-28 UNEF Right hand thread is standard. If you aren't sure, check with a qualified gunsmith.

Will this work on a Ruger AR-15 and a PSA AR Pistol? I don't see specs on threading any where. Thanks.

Lantac Dragon Muzzle Brake

BEST ANSWER:Yes - the Ruger AR-15 is chambered in 223/556 and this model is standard 1/2” threading which the Ruger also has.
One word of caution - if your pistol has a very short barrel, this will direct the unburned gasses to the left and to the right....so while it keeps the muzzle from moving around, your neighbors will get a free eyebrow and hair cut.

BEST ANSWER:If the barrel is a 223/556, the standard thread is 1/2' 28 thread so it should work

The dragon is one of my favorite brakes, it pretty much eliminates any muzzle rise even during rapid fire. The best part was the price, PSA had it for only $75. I think I paid $125 for the first one I bought.

When Lantac first introduced the Dragon I was skeptical but also curious. There were already so many breaks on the market and many at a much lower price. Many claiming to mitigate perceived recoil and muzzle flip and while some did a good job of it, some did nothing. After all, with the low recoil 5.56/.223, how much magic would it take and did we really need any magic? So curiosity kept me looking at reviews and then some decent videos started coming in showing the muzzle during firing from the profile in both rapid semi fire and, select fire. I decided I needed to check the thing out and ordered one for my Delton 16 inch rifle. The bad was, yes, the thing was now much louder. And yes, there was an increase in concussion, not so much to me as the shooter but to folks I was shooting with and standing to the side. The good, close to Zero muzzle flip and perceived recoil. It turned my rifle from pretty docile to, a baby! Rapid subsequent shots on the target were much improved. So of course I had to try it with a binary trigger (Fostech) and it did wonders. Now I consider it the best break for the purpose of controlling muzzle flip and recoil, on the market period! And that is on RIFLES. Tried this thing on a 10.5 inch pistol and did not like it at all. The control was still there but, the blast back in the face and the noise level was just too much. I did not take a star off for this because I do not believe this type break, from anyone was ever meant to go on a SBR or rifle caliber pistol in the first place. So, if you are operating a rifle and you want to punch out bulls down range rapidly, this is the way to go. I have put them on at least a dozen (for myself and others) rifles over the past couple years. I am down to just one and PSA has a sale going on at this writing so I am ordering another so I will have it as a back up. GREAT MUZZLE BREAK!

The Lantac Dragon is one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my AR platform builds. Not like the .223 is heavy on recoil, but the dragon keeps you flat and on target with very little felt recoil. Almost like shooting a .22LR! I highly reccomend this product.
